Rules
A student must pass each Step before moving on to the next Step.
-To move from Step 1 to Step 2 (or to start at Step 2), the student must pass the NY DMV permit test.
-To move from Step 2 to Step 3, the student must demonstrate a working knowledge of the Rules of the Road with accuracy and be able to navigate all simulator fields (city, country, etc.).
-To move from Step 3 to Step 4, the student must demonstrate defined driving skills and master the Rules of the Road.
-To pass Step 4, the student, parent, and Gersh instructor must all agree that the student is ready to schedule and take the road test.
